A downloadable game

Groundskeep is a grass cutting adventure game for the original Gameboy. You play as Vern, a freelance groundskeeper, who after receiving a cryptic job request, travels to an island overtaken by unruly greenery. Tasked by the Mayor whom you find in one of the abandoned town's buildings, you are asked to take a machete and clear the grass from the large park in the center of the island.

Cut your way through a vast open park, headed at the top by the Great Tree. Your machete will get duller as you cut. Return to town to sharpen your tools and sell your finds from your journey. All kinds of valuables are scattered throughout the park for you to come across.

As you cut grass, and help reopen stores, people begin to return to the island. Learn their stories, help them with their troubles, consider joining the worker's union to the dismay of the Mayor.

When you want a break from cutting grass, go into town and explore all it has to offer. Get a coffee at the cafe, or read at the local library. The town florist may have a puzzle based task for you as well.  You can also purchase mixtapes for your handy Gardmen cassette player that you can listen to as you garden.

So take your machete in hand Groundskeeper. Cut the grass. Save the island.
